Check out this sneak peek of the great views, rural character, and local history at this year’s Barn Tour, scheduled for Sunday, September 18th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Kick off your Tour with a visit to our Farmer’s Market, starting at 10:30 a.m. for some great nibbles and local produce at John Meade Park, and to pick up your Barn Tour Map and Program. It’s not too late to participate in our Plant A Row program! Please contact us for more information. A fly fishing demo and instruction will be provided by SaraBella Fishing. Tune-up your bike at the Campus Cycles station! Learn about raptors and their habits with Nature’s Educators, and watch a riding demonstration by the Platte Valley Pony Club.
We are very excited to feature two successful examples of conservation easements on our Tour. Two different families in the community have graciously agreed to share their properties and their stories on why leaving a legacy of open space was important to them. Together, they have preserved close to 40 acres of open space within an increasingly developed Denver metro area.
Tickets for the Sunday Tour are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, and are available for purchase at each of the barns or at the Farmers’ Market in John Meade Park.
We look forward to seeing you!
